A SHORT FILM AGAINST THE DEATH PENALTY LAUNCHED IN ITALY TODAY
June 14, 2002: a short film against the death penalty entitled A different request – the last request was presented in Italy today.

the presentation took place at Turin’s Cinema Massimo this morning.
“I made this film against the death penalty because I find it absurd that a state thinks it is implementing justice by killing,” director and screen writer Gianni del Corral said.
“Besides I find it hard to believe that there are actually people who want to assist to the execution of another person.”
A different request – the last request has a duration of 4 minutes 50 seconds and has been sponsored by Hands Off Cain, the local and county administrations of Turin, the Piemonte Regional administration and the Turin Film Commission.
Antonio Catania and Michele di Maura are the main actors. The Aiace cinemas are in charge of distribution.
