A Volusia County jury decided 8 to 4 to recommend that Gregory Murphy, 45, be put to death for the 1997 death of Erleen Albright, a 39-year-old mother of three. It will be up to Circuit Judge J. David Walsh to decide if Murphy gets the ultimate penalty, or a sentence to spend rest of his life behind bars.
