Abdul Rahim, a 22-year-old Syrian, said he was facing possible execution in Afghanistan for espionage. He claimed he was recruited by the American embassy in Abu Dhabi to gather information on Osama Bin Laden. A source at the US embassy official described Rahmin's story as "ludicrous", but refused to comment further. Abdul Rahim is one of two Arabs arrested for spying. Both Abdul Rahim and an unnamed Iraqi were being held in Kandahar.
