About 70 people demonstrated against human rights violations...

About 70 people demonstrated against human rights violations in China in front of the Chinese embassy in Berlin, coinciding with Chinese Prime Minister Zhu Rongji's visit to Germany. Some demonstrators appeared with cages on their heads and some carried banners reading "Human rights for Tibetans, for Uigurs, Mongolians, and Chinese democrats", "Tibet to the Tibetans," and "Stop the mass executions in eastern Turkestan". The protest was organized by The Society for Threatened Peoples.
