According to Jordan Times, the Criminal Court sentenced two brothers to 10 years in prison after convicting them of killing their married 23-year-old sister by driving over her with a water tanker in South Shouneh in December 2002. The tribunal first sentenced the two brothers, both in their 30s, to death. The punishment was immediately lessened to 10 years because the victim's husband and her mother dropped all charges against the defendants.
