Ahmed bin Ali al-Banan al-Assiry, a Saudi national, was executed by the sword in the western town of Taif for murdering a compatriot, the country’s interior ministry announced. Assiry had been convicted of shooting dead Majed bin Awad bin Sultan al-Harithi because of a dispute, said the ministry.
