Allaberdiyev Arslanbek was sentenced to capital punishment for drug smuggling. He was found guilty of trying to smuggle more than 249 kg of opium and over 28 kg of heroin into Uzbekstan up the Amudarya River, which divides Uzbekistan from Afghanistan.
