An angry crowd tried to storm a court where three men faced charges over a night-club teargas attack that led to the death of 13 school children. Hundreds of protesters broke down the gates in front of the court in the coastal city of Durban, where a bail application was being heard for the three men charged with 13 counts of murder. Emotions were high during the day as protesters, demanding the return of the death penalty and wearing black sashes to remember the dead, carried placards threatening "We will do the same to them if they are released."
