An Australian woman appeared in court in Malaysia on charges of trying to smuggle 3kg of heroin hidden in her corset onto a flight to Sydney.
The 46-year-old Yugoslav-born woman, Gordana Parezanovic, who migrated to Australia eight years ago and lives in Melbourne, was remanded in custody for two weeks.
She was arrested early at Kuala Lumpur international airport.
Drug smuggling can carry the death penalty in Malaysia.
Relations between Malaysia and Australia were strained back in 1986 when two Australian men were hanged for drug trafficking.
