An Iranian convicted of triple murder as he robbed a family home was hanged in the northwestern province of Khorasan, an Iranian newspaper reported. Qods said Hassan Abbassi-Hassanabadi was executed in Torbat-e-Jam, after first receiving 99 lashes. Caught during a robbery in 2001, he injured the parents of the household and then set the home on fire with the couple and their unconscious daughter trapped inside.
