Armenia should built state without death penalty, advisor to RA minister of home affairs, head of task force of reformation of RA Criminal Code Mikael Grigoryan said

Armenia should built state without death penalty, advisor to RA minister of home affairs, head of task force of reformation of RA Criminal Code Mikael Grigoryan said. In his words, the issue of death penalty should be considered on political and not on juridical level. Note, on November 13-14 a group of the Council of Europe experts has been in Yerevan to hold consultations on reforming Criminal Code of Armenia.
It should be reminded that one of Armenia's liabilities before the Council of Europe is adoption of new Criminal Code and ratification of the 6th protocol of European Convention on human rights stipulating cancellation of capital punishment. The latest term of fulfillment of liabilities in June 2003.
