the Court of Appeal in the Bahamas dismissed the appeal against the murder conviction and death sentence of Maxo Tido. However Tido still faces capital punishment for the 2002 killing of 16-year-old Donnel Conover. Her body was found in a quarry pit off Cowpen Road with her head crushed and part of her body burned. Tido was the first person sentenced to death in the Bahamas in 2006 after the mandatory death sentence for murder was abolished as a result of a Privy Council ruling.
