BANGLADESH: FIVE TO DIE FOR KILLING CHILD IN MIRPUR

five people in Bangladesh were sentenced to death for killing a child in the Mirpur area of Dhaka. Judge Md Atiqul Islam of Dhaka's Court sentenced Nazrul Islam, Zakirul Hossain, Niamat, Maqbul and Ali Reza and acquitted three others. A long running feud with vegetable trader Jabbar Ali of Mirpur Market resulted in the abduction of a child named Pappu on January 4, 2008. He was brutally murdered.
