BANGLADESHI TO HANG IN MALAYSIA FOR MUDER

the Malaysian High Court sentenced a Bangladesh national, Shamim Reza Abdul Samad, to death by hanging. Judge Datuk Zaharah Ibrahim heard that DNA evidence showed Shamim Reza, 33, had fatally stabbed Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) student Zuriyati Othman, 20, with a knife. Shamim Reza committed the murder in room number 101, Blok A, Meranti Residence College at the UiTM between 11.30am and noon on August 9, 2002.
