Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Solomon Pasi conferred with Stefano Manservisi, head of cabinet of European Commission President Romano Prodi, and briefed him on the results of his visit to Libya on 18-19 May, on his meetings in Tunis during the Arab League summit, as well as on the other steps taken by Bulgaria with various international organizations on the case of five Bulgarian nurses sentenced to death in Benghazi on 6 May on charges of intentional HIV infection of more than 400 children.
Pasi discussed with his host possible future actions on the medics' case. The chief Bulgarian diplomat was categorical that in future it is very important that Bulgaria act on the case in complete synchronization with the European institutions and with the EU member states. "What will be done is far more important than talking about it, because ill-timed statements are often counterproductive," the Bulgarian foreign minister explained.
