Charles Ebo Quansah, was last week sentenced to death by an Accra High Court for murder of Akua Serwaah in Kumasi a self-confessed serial killer.
The ex-President, Flt Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, has expressed dissatisfaction over the death sentence and observed that the serial killing, which terrified the country, during his administration was politically masterminded. Flt. Lt. Rawlings, explaining what he described as "positive defiance" against the NPP, aware of the serial killings but since they came to power they have been looking for someone to push the blame on, "hence the unfair trial of Quansah."
