the Jieyang City Intermediate People's Court, China, sentenced Liu Congbao to death and awarded life imprisonment to Zhou Chunnan and Xiao Peizheng after finding them guilty of printing counterfeit banknotes. Three other suspects were sentenced to jail terms ranging from 6 to 15 years. It was alleged that between January and April 2003, Liu rented factories and houses to print 150.4m yuan of counterfeit banknotes, including semi processed counterfeit banknotes with a face value of 20.4m yuan.
