Weng Tanggen was sentenced to death and Wang Jianping was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve for drug trafficking by a court in Northeast China's Jilin province.

Weng Tanggen was sentenced to death and Wang Jianping was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve for drug trafficking by a court in Northeast China's Jilin province. Tanggen allegedly trafficked more than 10,000 pills of "magu" (meth and caffeine), 757 grams of "magu" powder from Hubei province and sold magu to Jianping. Jianping allegedly possessed 5,912 "magu" pills and 265 grams of "ice" in his apartment in Changchun.
