the Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People's Court, China, sentenced Gu Huaming to death for the stabbing murder of a Taiwan businessman surnamed Lien at a night club in Jing'an District on October 6, 2005. Gu’s friend Xu Yongping had had a conflict with Lien whilst in the nightclub. Following the argument, Gu stabbed Lein to death on Xu’s instruction. Xu was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.
