three men convicted of drug trafficking were executed in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, after their appeal had been rejected by the Higher People's Court of the Region. Chen Minggang and Sun Shuangli, both from central China's Henan Province, were caught carrying 1.76 kilograms of methamphetamine and heroin by police on a train to Guangzhou on March 29, 2003, local police said. Liu Fagang, from southwest China's Yunnan Province, was caught trafficking 323 grams of heroin on April 6, 2004, according to the police. He was arrested with Huang Tingyong, also from Yunnan, who was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve by the same court. The three were all convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to death by a local intermediate people's court in 2004. After the verdict, they appealed to the Higher People's Court Of Guangxi but their request was denied.
