Chinese President Hu Jintao praised the merits of his country's "strike hard" against crime campaign, which resulted in the execution of scores of criminals since April 2001, state press reported. "In over two years, following the provisions of the central committee, all the organs of the (Communist) party, the government and justice have advanced the 'strike hard' campaign, realising the objective of a clear improvement in the maintenance of law and order," Hu said, according to Xinhua news agency.
