Court in Bangladesh convicted four people and gave capital punishment to one of them and life terms to the other three for killing a man in 1998.
Ripon, 25, was given the death sentence while Jhantu, Taslim and Anwar were sentenced to life.Taslim and Anwar are absconding. All the convicts hail from Chandipur village in Ramganj upazila.
District and Sessions Judge Moinul Islam Chowdhury convicted them of the murder of Khorshed Alam of the same village who was shot dead over a land dispute on May 29, 1998.
