Curtis Osborne, 37, black, was executed

Curtis Osborne, 37, black, was executed. Executioners struggled for 35 minutes to find a vein. The execution was delayed while prison medical staff tried to find acceptable veins in both arms. Osborne said nothing while the I.V.s were inserted. Osborne was executed for shooting Arthur Jones and Linda Lisa Seaborne on Aug. 7, 1990. Osborne becomes the 2nd condemned inmate to be put to death in Georgia this year, the 4th condemned inmate to be put to death this year in the USA and the 1103rd overall since the nation resumed executions on January 17, 1977.
