Dan Houser, 30, white, was executed by lethal injection. He had voluntarily renounced his right to further appeals. He was the fifth person to be executed in the State during the year, the 48th since the State resumed executions in 1979. He was the 63rd to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 661 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
