DEATH VERDICT FOR JOY RIDER

a death sentence was issued to a joy rider for killing three young boys and injuring two others during a car stunt. The accused is a navy officer nicknamed Abo Kab, a noted Jeddah daredevil known for his car stunts. According to local newspapers he had 66 different traffic violation tickets, including three for joy riding and driving at high speeds. In late 2005, he rented a Honda Accord to perform the “Death Stunt”, which involved breaking suddenly while driving at 120km per hour. The car crashed into a parked vehicle and three of his passengers were killed.
