DH3.4M BLOOD MONEY AGREEMENT REACHED FOR 17 INDIANS SENTENCED FOR MURDER

seventeen Indian men convicted of killing Pakistani labourer Misri Nazir Khan in the Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, in January 2009, will escape the death penalty after the victim’s family accepted an increased blood-money payment of 80 million Pakistani rupees – almost Dh3.5 million. The agreement was presented to the Sharjah Court of Appeal.
