DRUG KINGPIN SENTENCED TO DEATH IN SOUTH CHINA

Chen Bingxi, a notorious drug kingpin in south China, was sentenced to death for producing, selling and transporting illegal drugs, while four others received suspended death sentences or life imprisonment. The Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court in Guangdong Province, passed the sentence on Chen, 50, for trafficking and manufacturing 12.36 tons of methamphetamine, selling 108 kg of heroin and transporting over 100 kg of heroin.
