Fifth additional district and sessions judge Surendra Prasad Sharma awarded death sentence to five persons and rigorous life imprisonment to four other accused in connection with a murder case. According to assistant public prosecutor Siddhnath Singh, the convicts were charged with killing one B Pandey and injuring his son Dadan Pandey at village Amarpur Marwatiya under the mufassil police station in February 1997. The court found the accused guilty.
