Five people were given the death sentence by the first additional judge for killing five members of a family in Madhepura district in 1997.Justice Yogendra Prasad found the accused, Bablu Yadav, Sanjay Yadav, Rajo Yadav, Manoj Yadav and Vishwanath Yadav, guilty of mass killing and ordered their execution while another accused Shatrughan Yadav was sentenced to life imprisonment.According to police sources, the convicted persons raided the house of one Ramcharitra Sah on February 23, 1997 and murdered all of them including his second wife, Kendula Devi, her children Rahul (5), Rohit (3), a three-month-old daughter, besides Sah.
