Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Han Seung-soo apologized to the Korean people for the recent unnoticed execution in China of a convicted Korean drug trafficker.
"As head of the foreign ministry charged with protecting the lives and the properties of overseas Koreans, I have nothing to say other than I'm very sorry," Han said in a radio programme.
