FORMER CHINA COUNTY BOSS RECEIVES SUSPENDED DEATH SENTENCE FOR BRIBERY

the Baiyin City Intermediate People's Court in northwest China's Gansu Province sentenced Wang Xianmin, former Communist Party chief of Dangchang County in Longnan City, to death with a two-year reprieve for taking bribes of 10.5 million yuan from construction contractors and his subordinates between 2006 and 2010. The court also confiscated Wang's personal assets and deprived his political rights.
