Four leaders of a crime gang in southern China were sentenced to death after being convicted of a series of offences including injuries and one killing.
Xu Yuanchun, Xu Dong, Xu Zhong and Xu Debao received the death penalty from a court in Beihai city, Guangxi province for leading the gang which committed 28 offences between 1999 to 2001.
Another gang member received a two-year suspended death sentence and twelve other members were given jail terms of more than 10 years.
