A Shanghai court sentenced to death Huang Ligang, 22, and Cheng Liang, 19, after convicting them of stabbing to death Soong Yu, 40, a Taiwan businessman living in the city, the Shanghai Daily reported. Soong's wife, 33, and their five-year-old daughter were also killed before the assailants fled in a stolen jeep, taking a cell phone and 80,000 yuan (9,640 dollars) in cash. More than 50 police were allocated to the case and the men were caught in Jiangsu within two days of the incident. Shanghai police claimed the two had confessed to the murders and proceeded to parade them in front of the press wearing ski masks, handcuffs and leg restraints.
