Four members of a gang of robbers ? three Saudis and one Pakistani ? were sentenced to death by a court in Jeddah after being convicted of committing armed robberies in two banks in the city.
A Saudi woman member of the gang was sentenced to five years in jail. However, the court acquitted the woman's daughter for want of any evidence to link her with the gang.
The gang was convicted of robbing the Al-Rajhi bank on Madinah Road and Saudi French bank in Al-Bawadi neighborhood in north Jeddah in 2003.
