George Harris, 41, black, was put to death by lethal injection in Potosi Correctional Center. He was pronounced dead at 00:06. He had been convicted of killing Stan Willoughby, 20, in 1989. He was the fourth person to be executed in the State during the year, the 45th since the State resumed executions in 1989. He was the 67th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 665 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
