GOVT TRYING TO SAVE WOMAN FROM CHINESE FIRING SQUAD

Zambian government spokesperson Ronnie Shikapwasha said the government intervened in the case where a Zambian woman was sentenced to death by firing squad in China. Shikapwasha said the Zambian embassy in China is trying to have Mary Musiyalike brought to Zambia. He said that government can only try to mitigate and have the condemned person serve the sentence in Zambia. Shikapwasha appealed to the media to warn Zambian women against being used by drug traffickers.
