Henri Hadjenberg, head of the French Jewish organisation and President of the European Jewish Congress President, said that the 10 Jews sentenced to jail in Iran were innocent victims of fabricated charges in a "medieval" trial. Hadjenberg, who said he was relieved that none of the Jews was sentenced to death, vowed to keep campaigning for the release of the 10 convicted Jews. Three Jews were acquitted.
