Henry Lewis Marshall will get a new trial, the Washington Supreme Court ruled.Henry Lewis Marshall pleaded guilty to aggravated first-degree murder in the shooting death of Dennis Griswold during a 1994 robbery.Later, Marshall tried to take back his guilty plea, arguing he hadn't been mentally competent to make it. The trial judge refused to allow the change and Marshall was sentenced to die. "There was ample evidence before the trial court to call Marshall's competency into question at the hearing". The case now goes back to Pierce County Superior Court for a new trial.
