Ho Son, a 36-year-old man, was sentenced to death by Ho Chi Minh City People's Court in Vietnam for murdering a man, Tran Van Hung, in April 2002 and stealing his motorbike while in a drunken state. It was reported that after a bout of heavy drinking, Son and his two younger brothers stopped the victim on his motorbike in the middle of the road. They stabbed him to death and took the motorbike. The two brothers were given prison sentences of between 12 and 19 years.
