Peng Miaoji was convicted in Sanmenxia, Henan, of killing more than 40 of the victims in one of the worst criminal careers in Communist China's history. His gang raided villages and used scissors and meat cleavers to slash victims' throats. They cut off 4 men's genitals and raped 3 women. Another 4 gangsters were jailed for up to 20 years and an eleventh man was given a suspended death sentence.
