in Fort Pierce, a jury unanimously recommended the death sentence for Eddie Bigham, 45, for strangling Lourdes "Lu Lu" Cavazos-Blandin last year. Bigham already served about 10 years in prison for the 2nd-degree murder in the 1988 of a 5-month-old baby. This is the second death sentence recommended by a jury in St. Lucie County this year. In July, a jury voted 11-1 to sentence Richard Johnson to death in the 2001 kidnapping, rape and murder of Tammy Hagin.
