In Harrisburg, a jury deliberated for 2 hours today before sentencing Ernest R. Wholaver Jr., to death for killing his estranged wife and the 2 daughters he had been accused of molesting. Yesterday the same jury convicted Wholaver , 44, of the Christmas Eve 2002 shootings of Jean Wholaver, 43, and their daughters Victoria, 20, and Elizabeth, 15. Victoria and Elizabeth had told police their father had sexually abused them over many years, and a trial in that case was less than a month away at the time of the murders.
