In McAlester, Daniel Juan Revilla, 34, was pronounced dead at 6:12 p.m. at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary.
Daniel Juan Revilla was convicted of 1st-degree murder for the Jan. 26, 1987, beating death of 13-month-old Mark Gomez.
The child was the son of Revilla's girlfriend. The child had numerous wounds including bruises, blisters, burns and lacerations. An autopsy showed swelling and bleeding of the brain and that the child's liver had been severed.
Revilla becomes the 1st condemned inmate to be put to death this year in Oklahoma and the 3rd in the USA
