In Van Nuys, a Los Angeles County jury has recommended the death penalty for Paul Wesley Baker

In Van Nuys, a Los Angeles County jury has recommended the death penalty for Paul Wesley Baker, 47, who raped and killed his former girlfriend, Judy Palmer, 60. he was also convicted of sexually assaulting 2 other women. During the five-month trial, prosecutors presented DNA evidence linking Baker to the April 2004 murder of Judy Palmer. Baker is scheduled to be sentenced June 20.
