Additional District Sessions Judge S J Sheth also fined Noor ul Haq Saiyed Rs 1 lakh. The victim, Abid, a student of Class X of Kelvani School in Akota, was a close friend and neighbour of the accused. According to the counsel, Noor chopped off Abid’s head over Rs 7,000, which the victim’s father took for an eye operation and failed to return despite repeated requests.
