INDIAN ON DEATH ROW IN UAE PARDONED

An appeal court in Sharjah sentenced A.V, an Indian, to death for stabbing K.Gh. after raping her. The man's sentence has been reduced to three years since he has already spent seven years in jail, he will be deported after being given 40 more lashes for committing adultery.
