Turmudi, 32, was shot dead by firing squad. The former ship's captain was sentenced to death for having hacked to death his 16-year-old girlfriend, her brother and mother and niece in March 1997 after he had found out that his girlfriend was cheating on him. He was sentenced to death in October that year.
