Indonesian authorities executed two women convicted drug traffickers from Thailand. Saelow Praseart, 62, and Namsong Sirilak, 32, were executed by firing squad in the North Sumatra capital of Medan at 02:00 local time.
But the Attorney General Office in Jakarta had not issued an official statement about the execution.
The couple had been arrested at the Polonia Airport in Jakarta for attempting to smuggle 12.19 kg of heroin in 1994. Indian national, Ayodya Prasad Chaubey, had already been executed on August 5 for his involvement in the case.
