Interior Minister Yuriy Kravchenko said "a presidential guarantee in accordance with a relevant decision by the Ukrainian Constitutional Court stating that the death penalty will no longer be carried out in Ukraine" will aid investigations into crimes impeded because of international legal problems. The interior minister said that colleagues in law-enforcement agencies abroad will be satisfied with such a guarantee and Ukrainian law-enforcement agencies will have the possibility to hold investigations abroad.
