IRAN PUBLICLY HANGS MAN FOR MURDER IN FARS

Iran publicly hanged a man for murder near the town of Jahrom in the southern Fars province, state-run television reported on its website. The report identified the convicted killer as Nazir Tajik and said he killed two brothers while carrying out an attempted armed robbery on a agricultural cooperative four years ago. The man was hanged in the village of Arjavieh where the brothers lived.
